Good day fellow fans of the jockopodcast! I have an interest in everything that is US militay related and especially special forces/operation. Although I have gathered some knowledge about this topic I feel like it is still fragmented and there are still some fundamentals missing. (just to give you an example: I was reading about Navy SEALs and then found out that "SEAL Team Six" aka DEVGRU is actually not part of the Navy Seals but responds directly to the JSOC, is that right?) So I wonder if you can recommend a book that gives a good overview of all(or at least most) the forces that are under the United States Special Operations Command umbrella, what they do, what distinguishes their tasks from other forces etc. Thank you very much in advance for your answers Cheers from Berlin!

I understand you wanted a book, but that seem like a little bit of over kill. Also, the structural integration is often based upon the individuals. Jocko describes it as decentralized command. In Extreme Ownership, Jocko talks about giving direction to people who out rank him. Special_Operations_Command
