Had the 1T211 contract in hand in 2014. Day I got my booty shorts I shit them. Just straight up quit. Should have been a f@&&$& grunt.. Mike Maroney, Jocko Podcast, an a few who choose to remain unnamed saved me from my pity party. Mike was a Cadre in Indoc who actually added me back on Facebook and gave me his phone number after I was like what the f¥ck did I just do. Who does that? This is not unique to me either . That is just how the dude is. He eats sleeps andbreathes Pararescue. That Others May Live.

There are a lot of things that you don't see when you are living an experience. There are a lot of things you do see as a guy who years of experience seeing hundreds of people a year. I am sure you have heard the story of the Medic dumping his fellow solider into the dust-off and the camera caught him giving a kiss before he ran back to the action. There are things that the job requires. Things that you learn, get used to, get better at, and come with time. The things that you can't teach, become paramount. Those things are so valuable that you have to try to save the ones you can. You can't teach love for your team. You can't train compassion for others. You can't prescribe the desire to save lives while exchanging bullets to the people who pass the fitness exam. You will get over the tasks. You will adapt to the fear. You will improve at the skills. But that motivation, the magnet that makes you want to be on the chopper headed toward the chaos, want to be the guy who is the first to your wounded brother, want to be the one to kiss him good bye, is the treasure you can't throw away because he panicked with a new task.
The other thing. 10 years of experience will let you know who had a bad day and who can make it. Last thing, I googled it, because I don't know these things.

No foul. I would only take a name down if I thought it was an unfair criticism or if to poster or the subject asked me to. We are pretty easy here. The only posts I have deleted were ads.
I have even left posts from crazy people up.
