Hello everyone,
I work as the suicide prevention lead for an Foundation called Ifucareshare in the UK
I have a military/Police background and my last role with the Police led me to what I refer to as my Mission.
I work with lots of demographics and although the biggest killer of males under 45 years is suicide the epidemic I see on a daily basis, is unfortunately, not at all exclusive.
I wanted to say that I use the approach to leadership, it goals and techniques whilst supporting those at risk of suicide.
I looked at it this way, if the principles of extreme ownership can be applied to leadership then why not apply these to you?
We all use leadership in various ways, but what I have found that extreme ownership and approaches such as "Discipline equals freedom" resonate well past there intended use for leaders.
I unashamedly use these during sessions and have seen first hand how effective this approach and way of life can be on those who a facing their biggest fight!
I look forward to the podcasts and will continue to use extreme ownership to save lives...
