Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn also wrote a much smaller novel: “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich”. Polish children read this book as a school reading at some point of their high school education. For us, Poles, this is a reminder of why we should be proud that we contributed to the fall of communism and should defend freedom at all costs. Jocko, thank you very much for taking up this topic, because the freedom that people in some parts of the world are fortunate enough to enjoy is not obvious and given to them once for all.
