In my opinion great book full of GET SOME. Very short and easy read and many parts relate directly to discipline=freedom theme. Would love to see it featured in a podcast but if not 10/10 recommend for anyone on this bored and EVERYONE they know. Paired with joint warefare this book cures laziness and the sniffles.

First of all, MolkTrainConductor might be the best handle on the boards. I will look into that book. Hope to see you around the boards.

Dear UNIT. Any update on if we'll hear this book. Looking through the boards I realize it's not a firsthand account from the battlefield. Just wondering. Thanks

Conductor, I am not part of the "jocko staff". I can forward it along through the same channels you and everyone else does. The one I did assist on was the 100 rules of war, but it was mostly the requestor, who was also the author / translator. I think the better idea is to get the full court press on Pressfield to have him on the podcast. I know Jocko and Echo are familiar with the War of Art.
I think having Stephen on would be the productive way to have them all discuss his books. Just make sure Stephen doesn't mention the O word. that ends in "prah"

Pressfield's War of Art is great - I pick it up whenever I need to give my professional butt a kicking. It might be squishy compared to Jocko's style but for us touchy-feely artist types, it really pulls no punches. There's a lot of myths out there about creativity and he throws them all on the trash heap. His historical books are great and I think with Jocko's interest in historical writers, they'd have a lot to talk about.
