I just finished my drive from Atlanta Georgia to San Antonio. I have made it a mission to, if Jocko says go back and listen to this I do it. Had I not I would have missed out on insights. But I digress, about 300 miles from my final destination Dr. Petersen said “ be that man at your Dad’s funeral....that is something great”. My pops is still kicking but I had a pit in my heart because I was that person for my dead best friend. I feel guilt a lot, I mean a lot and it has been over 4 years. But I was that, I will forever know I did what I could through the chaos and sadness. I was that guy so to speak. I tried to move a mountain for a person I called my brother in arms who literally got out of the navy and of all things harms way. He was on the path to do great things and he got plucked from me. But I raised 8k for his family, he was buried in my dress blues, I haunted the VA to find anyone to help them out. I was the go between for all our military buddies to get up dates. I help support his family in time of need. But it never felt enough. Thanks Doc, you made that little fuck on my shoulder shut up and it truely has helped. I plan to read your book and watch your videos and think about Kermit.
