What’s up guys..seeing what your opinions are. So I’m 27 years old, was in the marine Corp infantry for 5 years.. did multiple combat deployments, was in a scout sniper platoon. Been training BJJ for 5 years. Now I do commercial diving.. Lately I’ve been in a rut.. granted I have a newborn at home, but I can’t find the motivation to train or work out or even eat healthy anymore . I’ve ways prided myself in my work ethic when it came to staying in shape and excelling in my training.but It’s gotten past the point of excuses, I’ve just excepted the fact I’ve been a LAZY pile and undisciplined. Any thoughts or tips how to reset my attitude and mental state??

There is this thing called life. It has milestones. They are things like marriage, kids, etc. You might have to give up the dream of a chain mail suit of armor made from beer can pull tabs, upon getting married. Having a newborn is one of those events. First, you cope with sleep deprivation, smells, and interacting with a lump of human that fights you at every task you have to perform. Once you reach 4 to 6 months, you start to become human again.
Congratulations. Welcome to fatherhood. Scout Sniper, official badass point. On top of the Marine Badass point.
Mindset, attitude, mental state. Try to interact with your newborn and "baby mama" in a way that is healthy. Lots of walks, hikes, and bouncing babies. You are also responsible for another human being. Developing them should be as important as developing you. Also, Learn how to take care of your baby. Give the lady a chance to get out on her own once a month so she can keep her identity and you can be dad. Try other means of improving yourself. Read, study, write, build your network of friends who are on the path, good dads, can coach you on your career, etc. Welcome to the boards.

It's okay to be undisciplined and lazy sometimes, you just had a big change in your life. Spend time with your family and fulfill your duty as a parent.
Now, if you need a push to get back on track.
Make a simple plan, something you can commit to everyday. Maybe it's to do 10 push ups, or 50, 100, depends on what you can commit to. But stick with it everyday. Once you have some momentum, you can perfect your program.
Go get some !
