Hi I want to join the US military. I'm a 19 year old hungarian studying at a prestigious university in my home country but i feel the military life is calling me. It doesn't seem like I can join as a foreigner. My parents didn't like the idea when I was younger and I accepted it but now I feel like I should be doing it. I know that I was born to be a warrior. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Could you be a soldier for Hungary? Here is the first place to start. Talk to a recruiter. Ask lots of questions. Don't sign anything. And talk to all the branches. Tell each other what the other guy says. Ask the Army guy for the questions to ask the Navy guy. Ask the Marine recruiter why you shouldn't join the Air Force. Ask if you they can connect you with someone who isn't a US citizen who is a part of their branch of the military. Ask for the "world", the worst thing they can say is no. The US has a few programs for non citizens. One is a path to becoming a US citizen. The other is to serve a specific role that not enough american's can fill. Non Citizen Skilled SoldiersBecoming a CitizenThere are lost of areas to serve without arms. Law Enforcement, DHS, Fire Department, and other places.
