My name is Justin. I grew up in NJ just outside of NYC and I'm currently living in Southwest Georgia.
I discovered the Jockopodcast while I was researching leadership videos on Youtube for a presentation for my current job. I ended up using "Jocko's 10 Rules for Success" for the meeting on leadership. Before I used the video I actually reached out to a former colleague who previously worked with Jocko to ask him if "Jocko is what he puts out to be." I received a very quick response, "Dude, he's the real deal." I've been hooked ever since then.
From 1996-2006 I was in Satcom and a Security Forces team member in the USAF. During the 10.5 years I deployed 6 times to the ME and Central Asia. I spent 3-years with the 822d SFS which were the best years of my life. Since then I've worked as a Security Manager for some high-tier public and private security contracts around the nation. I also went back to school and received my MA in Security Management with APUS. Currently, I'm a Risk Management Coordinator for the City that I live in while I also perform IC security work on the side as well as volunteer with a local humanitarian based non-profit organization.
