Greetings Jocko and Echo, Questions from a fan: Your podcasts talk about the darkness that humans perpetrate against each other in war, crime and savagery. As a result of poor decisions when I was younger I have been unable to serve in the Military,Law Enforcement or Fire. I know I enjoy freedom and safety without my own sacrifice. Podcast 22 got me thinking!!! What can a regular citizen (he may have a difficult past) do in his life, his work, his free time to help fight the darkness? What can he or she do directly or indirectly to support the heroes in the frontline? Volunteer at a VA? Donate to charity? if so which ones or types are better? Volunteer to help Vets with training and access to careers? Enlist in the reserves?(Military or Law Enforcement) Participate more politically (no matter which party or ideology) by lobbying Congressmen and Senators for the cause? At 53 after having my eyes opened,I feel like there is a debt I need to pay for being messed up and selfish earlier in life. I am inspired and dedicated. I would like to help and have somewhat already. Thank you both Hart Keeble Candidate for Trooper Ps if you covered it already sorry Email:hartk2010@mail.com

Jocko's frequently has talked about the military knew they were entering into a situation that could cost them something or everything. We back home can honor them by not wasting our freedom. Make ourselves better. get fit. get strong. get wise. and do something with that.
Jocko also talks about the plan you will best execute will be the one you call your own. There are lots of good things you can do. Listen to the Travis Manion podcast. That is one option.
Here is a strange mission to give you. Meet other "troopers". Arrange a gathering. Reach out on twitter, facebook, or the boards and meet up with some people who are on their way up. As you are improving, help others. Share wisdom, money, and time, as you are able and as they are needed. Start small. Start often.
If you want a little 10 week discipline small team thing. I have one you can try.
Or walk out your front door and fix the world.
