A friend, co-worker, and Army vet is going through the shit right now. Almost three weeks ago his wife had to have an emergency C-section to deliver their baby boy at 27 weeks due to her having a brain hemorrhage and the baby's heart rate dropping. My team and I rallied around him as his wife and son fought for their lives. She had to have brain surgery to remove a large mass, tumor, from her brain the same week. The tumor has been confirmed cancerous and aggressive, but they have sent the tumor to Austin for further testing because they don't know what type of cancer it is. Current status is that his wife has been discharged for outpatient physical therapy, and a treatment plan will be put in action once they know what it is. The baby is in the NICU and will remain there until July. He is doing well but they are monitoring a heart valve condition. Bottom line is that my team and I have his back and are covering meals, helping with child care as they have 4 other children at home, and supporting every way possible. What I'm asking for is help with the incoming medical bills. We set up a gofundme and have surpassed the initial goal of 8,000. I'm fighting for more because everyone knows that while 8K will help, there's a lot more coming. So if you can help it would be greatly appreciate. If you can't donate then I would ask that you share. Thanks, www.gofundme.com/bateman-family-medical-expenses
