I posted a basic question in another thread, but it might serve well in its own thread.
I have been hearing a good amount lately regarding the Whole 30 approach. I haven't done much reading into yet, but I'm wondering if anyone here has come across it or tried it and what your impressions are.

It is repackaged low carbs. A month of no sugar, no grains, is definitely going to have positive effects. A few of the things they are doing just to reduce water retention. If you are going for more than a month, salt and high fat dairy aren't the enemy. It is again back to the original problem with health and fitness. Everyone thinks they want the same thing, everyone gets the same answer. I hated my buddy joined the YMCA, got advice that was torn from the latest fitness research and the "fitness professional" misapplied all of it.
Go to Primal Blueprint, Primal Fitness. Very similar structure with a little more information and more complete picture.
