So glad to find Jocko; just started listening recently and it is helping me be a better man. I was at the combat outpost in Ramadi in 04. Got wounded by a frag on April 6, 2004 on Easystreet and lost two men in my squad. Listening to stories of Ramadi from Jocko really takes me back there, in a good way. I lost alot of friends there and I am doing everything I can to make sure their sacrifices were not in vain. Yesterday I sat my young girls down and had them watch some videos about Michael Monsoor. It was emotional for me, which my kids saw, but it was good. I am raising up patriots, who will carry on with the mission. Thanks for the inspiration and the outlet we all need. General Mattis said that combat will make a bad man worse, and a good man better. I know I am in the second group-that being said, we can't fall victim and let the enemy have a victory by destroying our heart and mind years later. As a Christian, I realize the battle is spiritual, and the fight we are in is righteous. God bless you Jocko, and Semper Fi.
