Hello, my name is Admin. OK, that's not really my name, but I would like to stay unknown, as I have created this site not for recognition, but to bring people together to network. Jocko and his man Echo are doing a great job at getting info out there, but I found there was no expansion beyond that. Twitter is great, but how much discussion can really be done with 140 characters?!?!

So for those that follow Jocko and the things he talks about, this is the place for you! A place where you can "Free Your Mind" and discuss everything from Jiu Jitsu to poetry or from leading in the boardroom to riding a long board! A place where firefighters and police officers can come together in harmony and discuss the commonalities they have.

I hope this site serves as a tool to help you network, engage, learn and succeed. In order for this site to grow, it needs you! You need to contribute info. Start a thread. Ask a question. Tell a story.

Jocko and Echo are aware of the site and have usernames. It's up to them if they would like to read and post. I'm sure as this board gets up and running, they may become more active. The intent of this message board was for the users discuss more in depth the principles that have been brought forward in the book and podcasts.

Hello,
Probably like everyone who joins this forum, I have always held a great respect for the Seals and that respect led to my reading Jocko and Leif's book. I've personally seen the extremes of leadership and everything in between through my time in the Navy and Federal Law Enforcement and have spent the past year, since retiring, studying leadership more in depth. The lessons offered in Extreme Ownership reinforce the critical leadership elements needed to achieve success personally and professionally.  As much as I enjoyed the book, I think I might enjoy the podcast even more. Instead of offering checklists and quick hacks, Jocko takes us through the stories and thought processes of those who have been put in extreme situations and adds great insight into how this is relevant in those situations and everyday life. I will continue to listen and know I will come away with something I didn't know with each podcast.
