Looks a little sensationalized. The fish gets bigger every time you catch it. The Geneva convention stuff is more of a rules of engagement question. When the enemy doesn't wear uniforms and beheads prisoners, apples to apples gets a little fuzzy. The article feels like "the worst moment of multiple Seal's Careers" combined into some systematic problem. It is telling us that war is full of unsavory practices, the military knows these things are bad, but they still happen. The term Crimes in the title is misleading. While it is better than some terms, like atrocities, crimes implies it broke laws. Many things done in war is against the "laws" of civilization. So reading an article from a smart phone, in a waiting room might not be the right context. Full disclosure: Me = not military, never served. Never left North America. Actively informed. I have no external knowledge of these events.
