Spanning at least two Podcasts in a row, I think Jocko's enthusiasm for saying "TRUPPENFUHRUNG!" increased by at least 34% every time he said it. Some researchers say it's as low as 11%, while others have shown the zeal spike to be as high as 58%. I might not be all-net, but somewhere in between the two seems close enough.

It is a phase, like JAAKED, Hitter, That Being Said, im poor Tent, Sodium little action big reaction, and eventually Good Deal Dave.

Ahh, I see. Then there's "the TEAMS!" which sounds like "the DHAYMES!" I'm glad Jocko kinda said one time, "Echo's new nickname should be 'Nonetheless'." I think Texas Batman (Leif) or Good Deal Dave was on the Cast of Pod when Jocko said that. The presence of another Ramadi connection must've stirred up the facility of chop-breakin'...which I so don't get enough of in my life. So refreshing to hear.
So, believe it or not, Jocko Podcast helps a brothah out in yet another completely expected way, for I too was once told by my wife to not break chops so hard since she's not one of the boys. Albeit, mine was party animal but super competitive sports teams as well as grizzled construction sites, that ineffably underlying male sharpening thing is the same everywhere I've ever seen it. Sensitive (male) egos have a rough go at gettin' along if they take it personally. Proverbs 27:17 puts it this way: "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Ego trippers miss the sharpening and live a dull life. (I know about it--I admit to going through several phases of being a baby about it and eventually learning to grow up.)
Props to the proverbial "Plate Face" of life and the maturation that hopefully goes with it! I appreciate your Encouragement and attentiveness, Unit! If it wasn't for you and your amiability, I'd be less likely to chime in and read things here. I love coming on this Forum and your inclusion of this newbie only improves the situation. I squeeze in moments when I can to read from or write onto this Board. I have a growing collection of notes I've taken from PC's, all dated and timed, and I fully aim to share them. Some have helped me tremendously. Here's one of THE biggest things I've gotten from the JPC and apply EVERYDAY:
"Don't get bit by the buildup; the wait." Despite some of the "positive thinking" garbage in many books I've read, I gotta give a shout out to "The Magic of Thinking Big," by David Schwartz. It was written in like the 50's, when that robust WWII zeitgeist dominated the country. That book helped me a ton, though it's all simple stuff. Biggest takeaway: ACTION CURES FEAR. 4 syllables.
JPC totally repeats this in so many ways. Plus it's usually free to start the process: walk.
