At minute 35:45 of this keynote, the powerful @garyvee talking about owning everything as a leader. Just cool to hear another pivotal leader who probably in not privy to the Well of Jocko who is speaking about the exact same philosophy of "Extreme Ownership".

Yeah, About half the time I feel like Jocko is reading out of John Wooden, Proverbs, Dale Carnegie. . . . (adding keynote to my cue)

Wish they would have had more follow up in the book. They have a lot of here's this problem here's a relevant combat sitch and here's how you can relate that to the real world. I love this book and it is very useful/ helpful. Just would have liked to see more of the follow up. Stuff like manager "X" took this lesson back to company "Y" and here's how it went down. Here's the hardships in changing the norm. Here's the "aha" moment the team had and here's the outcome of the team owning it.

So you seem to be asking for more of a work book. Is that right? Do you have a specific purpose or principal that you are hoping to understand better? I have heard from a few people that they were looking for more group interaction. What were you thinking?

No not looking for a work book. Just wondering how it actually went down when the people took the "Extreme Ownership" teachings back to their companies.

Got it. A little more of a play by play. I think it could be helpful and misunderstood. Obviously, you are talking about Extreme Ownership's tenancy to point to the problem more than the "practical solution". I think a big part of the practical solution is typically not being wholly confident in YOUR solution. Having a written down answer might cause you to "stick with the plan" rather than being open to suggestions or adjusting to changes as they come.
THAT BEING SAID, , , , , a more story feeling example of the common stumbling blocks, conflicts, with some hindsight could be a benefit. I like the thoughts.
