I'm all about crankin' some power jams to get me crunked for a challenge.
And sure, Standard Operating Procedure technically qualifies as one of the denotations of Ritual.
But today's connotation of Ritual is a New Age-y, mystical term that tries to spiritualize a shortcut.
Barring lottery-grade luck, success ain't through divining a mindset at the last sec to make up for lack of experience or preparation.
Pridefully, I'm reluctant to daily face the fact: fear is a part of life.
But I'm liberated from that ego trap when I ask "Am I afraid of something here but have been too dishonest to call it 'fear'?"
Also noticed: action cures fear; there's no sub for hard work.
"I'm gonna be as disciplined as Jocko after I finish this Jocko White Tea," -said the deceived.
I suppose there's a market for Jocko's next book that doesn't require that pesky discipline:
"Ritual Equals Freedom."
