Hi I am new to this but I have been listening to the Jocko podcasts for about 5 months. I take some preworkout and drive to train at this place 20 minutes away from my house and get pumped listening to Jocko. I’m 18 and a football player with D1 talent, size, and grades but no schools picked me up because where I am from we don’t get too much recruiting. I got a full ride scholarship to a Juco, AWC, and 1,000 scholarship for my leadership abilities. I was about to enlist to try out for the SEALs right out of high school because that’s what I have always wanted to do. I mean I have a library in my room to just learn about the dichotomy of war like “War and Peace” and “The Art of War” and then about every navy SEAL and Green beret book out there. And through all that reading I learned the importance of education and furthing my knowledge of leadership and hard work. So I am looking for some extra advice on learning how to take a leadership roll as a freshman? Also how to learn how to lead a group of people with a different culture and background? Sorry for the background, this is my first post, so I thought I should express.

Where are you from? If you are stuck between Alabama and Texas, do the Junior College. Or a prep school year. What position? You should probably be squatting 405 for every position (except DB or WR). Where did you play. What kind of film do you have. I have links to get your name in front of a few people. Then it will be up to your package. (Huddle (for video) 2 to 3 min of High light. Then a game film. Specifically a game where you go against some one good and never took a play off (on the field). Can you talk football well? What kind of school are you looking for. I might know the guy who just left the trainer position at West Point. I also know guys at some of the more eccentric football school, like Columbia. 80% of players aren't worth their off the field activities. If you are a "squared away" kid with a good home life, humble, and evidence of time in the weight room you can get a look. Their team's holes are as important as your strength. Message me and we can do this in a less public fashion.
